Kana & Kanji on this SiteIf you are studying Japanese and wish to know the proper pronunciation/readings of various kanji used on this site (and others), I recommend Rikaichan (for Firefox) or Rikaikun (for Chrome). These excellent browser plugins enable the user to mouse over any kanji and receive both the furigana and definition. You may also want to visit the Tools section for more helpful plugins and programs, and instructions on how to display and write in Japanese characters on both Mac and PC.
Japanese characters, including kanji, hiragana, and katakana are used often on this site. When appropriate, an English translation will be given in parentheses immediately after the Japanese word.
